Storage tins
You will need:
Empty tin or container (e.g., a cocoa tin)
Patterned papers
Glue stick or spray adhesive
Label (optional)
TIP
If the upper edge of your tin has a raw edge, add an extra 5cm (2in) to the height when you cut out the paper. Stick to the tin and cut vertical slits about 1cm (3â8in) apart in the excess paper. Spread glue around the tinâs inside edge. Fold over each paper piece and press down onto the glue to create a neat, paper-covered edge.
1 Measure the height and circumference of your tin. Use the measurements to cut out a piece of paper, adding an extra 2cm (3â4in) to the circumference to allow the ends to overlap.
2 Apply glue to the back of the paper and carefully wrap it around the tin, smoothing it down with your hands.
3 Cut a second, contrasting piece of paper the same size and stick this to the inside of the tin.
4 Add an optional label to decorate the front.
